Working really hard on my DMGT Review Proposal for grad school. The Wanderer is hanging out next to me on my pile of books looking like a sleeping cat.
Monica When I opened the box, it was not immediately apparent how the piece was supposed to be worn, but I saw right away how I was going to wear it. It had become part of my experience and my world view in the way I responded to it. Now that I have seen the form of it and the way it is supposed to be worn, I see that I have a bit of creative work ahead of me to solve how to wear it the way I saw it in my mind's eye. I have become the Curator.
Next step is to become the Installer to work out the details about how this work is to be hung on the gallery of Me. Have a wander-full day Monica and first comments from Monica in LA:
A Wanderer has arrived! This Wanderer was sent out from San Bernardino to Los Angeles on 6 October. It looks like it was rcvd by my post office on the 10th, but I didn't get a notice in my po box until the 17th! I think this Wanderer went on an adventure without me!! I am finishing up my first fashion collection today and tomorrow so stay tuned for updates. Opening this package will be like having a birthday! I can't wait!! I immediately think of this:
“If we knew what it was we were doing it wouldn't be called research, would it?” (Albert Einstein). |
